Steal a Brainrot is a Roblox idle/clicker game built around the Italian brainrot meme phenomenon. Players collect absurd, AI-generated characters with Italian-sounding names like Tralalero Tralala and Bombardino Crocodilo, each generating passive coin income every few seconds.
The game launched in early 2025 and exploded in popularity, riding the wave of Italian brainrot content that took over TikTok and YouTube Shorts. It now features 442+ characters across 8 rarity tiers and has become one of the most-played games on Roblox.
Conveyor Belt
Characters spawn on a conveyor belt at regular intervals. Click a character to add it to your base, or let it pass. Higher-rarity characters appear less frequently.
Base Slots
Your base has a limited number of slots. Characters placed in slots generate coins passively. You start with 10 slots and unlock more through rebirthing.
Stealing
You can steal characters from other players' bases. If they have something better than what you have in a slot, swap it. Other players can steal from you too, so stay active.
Spending Coins
Use coins to unlock characters from the shop, spin the wheel, or buy upgrades. Rarer characters cost significantly more but generate far more income.
Rebirthing
When you have enough coins, you can rebirth: reset your progress in exchange for a permanent income multiplier and more base slots. Each of the 18 rebirth levels adds +0.10x to your multiplier.
Every character belongs to one of 8 rarity tiers. Higher rarities generate more income and are harder to obtain from the conveyor belt or shop.
When a character spawns, it has a chance of carrying a mutation. Mutations add a visual effect and multiply that character's income. A Rainbow mutation on a high-rarity character is one of the most valuable things in the game.
Common
A golden sheen. Boosts income by 25%.
Uncommon
Sparkling crystal. Boosts income by 50%.
Event Only
Molten glow. Boosts income by 6x. Only appears during Molten Events.
Ultra Rare
A shifting rainbow aura. The rarest mutation, boosting income by 10x.
Italian brainrot started in early 2025 as a wave of AI-generated images depicting surreal hybrid creatures with pseudo-Italian names. Characters like Tralalero Tralala (a shark in sneakers) and Bombardino Crocodilo (a crocodile in a bomber jacket) spread across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.
The format hit a nerve: absurd visual designs, made-up Italian-sounding names, and short looping audio clips narrating each character's lore. Content creators began making "brainrot battles," ranking characters and inventing increasingly elaborate backstories.
SpyderSammy and Do Big Studios saw the moment and built Steal a Brainrot, launching it while the trend was at peak velocity. The game gave fans a way to interact with the characters beyond passive viewing, and it took off immediately.
